NoBull Veggie Burgers are new to our store and brought to you by Oh My Gosh...Yum, a family owned and operated business out of Charlottesville, VA. Originally created by matriarch and chef/caterer Crissanne "Chriss" Raymond, she originally developed the veggie burger as a solution to all the lackluster veggie burgers out there. Everyone who tasted the veggie burgers went so wild for them that Criss and family knew they were worthy of sharing with the world. We caught up with Criss to learn more!

What are a few of your favorite things about summer time? 
Sunshine, Beaches & NoBullBurgers!

What is your favorite way to enjoy a NoBull veggie burger?  
Well, it changes a lot! My newest version is to pan sear for 4 or 5 minutes on either side and melt some extra sharp Vermont Cheddar on top, adding some fried onions! I then place on top of baby greens with Dijon & ketchup. Yum!!

What sparked your passion for veggie burger making? 
Cooking was always my hobby, which later turned into my profession. I was determined to make the most fabulous veggie burger because I had so many disappointing ones in the past! I saw a complete need for a really good one. That was over 25 years ago!

Tell us about a day in the life at NoBull? 
Oh gosh...coffee anyone? We fire up the grills at 6am and start washing the vegetables, cooking the beans, cutting, sautéing and finally filling the griddles with veggie burgers! We are making approximately 1,100 per day and we work 5 days a week! Quite a few steps to get the final product, but we let our customers know that we do the hard work for them. All they have to do is heat and eat to get a heart of the plate protein meal in less than 15 minutes!

Any key points to convince a die-hard carnivore to try out your veggie burgers? 
Everyone knows they need to eat better, so invest in a natural, whole food, plant based diet and you will achieve your optimum health!

Greatest veggie burger making success?
It took a minute to create the recipe for the Vegan & Gluten Free. It was like rocket science, but we finally found the correct recipe!

What's the best piece of advice you've ever gotten?  
We all have a gift to bring benefits to others while we are here on this earth. Pour out your gifts to bless others and it will also benefit your own life!

What is your fondest food memory? 
My grandmother's Italian Sunday dinners, everything from scratch and the garden! Paired with my grandfather's homemade wine, none compares!
