At our office we're slightly (more than) addicted to coffee. We love to sample new roasts from around the area, and it's not unusual for the espresso machine to be on at all times of the day. However, as the weather starts to warm up and the sun finally comes out to play, we're looking for the caffeine kick and a cool down drink.
Enter: cold brew coffee.
Not only is cold brew smooth and a bit less bitter than a hot cup of joe, but its so simple to make! Let's break it down - the perfect cold brew in just a few super easy steps. . .
Grind about 1 1/3 cup of your favorite freshly roasted coffee and pour grounds into a 34 oz (8 cup) French press. You can also use a large pitcher.
Add 4 cups filtered, cool water to the French press, give it a quick stir with a wooden spoon, then place the plunger on top (but don't plunge)! If you're using a jar or pitcher, pour water into pitcher, stir with a wooden spoon, and then cover.
