A lifelong lover of peanut butter, founder Mark received his first lesson in handcrafted nut better in 1999 while living in a rural farming community in Zimbabwe where he was volunteering with the Peace Corps. In 2010, he was inspired to recreate that unforgettable homemade peanut butter experience and founded Big Spoon Roasters a year later alongside his wife Megan. Big Spoon’s philosophy about food is the belief that food matters to our health, happiness, and the wellbeing of the planet. They source only from farmers and producers who share in these beliefs.
