FIKA first opened its doors in September of 2006 in Manhattan. Swedish tradition served as inspiration for founder and co-owner Lars Åkerlund, who saw an immediate love connection between Sweden and New York. FIKA’s products are heavily inspired by Swedish heritage and flavors, but always with an innovative and modern twist. Whenever possible they partner up with local suppliers so they can nurture the local economy and ensure the highest quality ingredients.
