After reading Michael Pollan’s “The Omnivore’s Dilemma,” Sara Polon, a.k.a. Soupergirl, decided to get involved in the local food movement. With the help of Marylin Polon, a.k.a. Soupermom, they created a line of homemade soups using only seasonal ingredients from small local farms. Why soup? Because every day is a good day for soup! Soupergirl believes in real, responsible food, which is why she has one simple rule – if you can’t pronounce something on the ingredient list, it should not be in the soup.
