Great food begins with good people. Choosing the right partners is just as important as finding the right products. For us, it’s personal. Their stories are all different but the characters are always the same; we connect with people that have a passion for their work, a love of community and a transparent process for cultivating it all.
Dedication, attention to quality, a desire to share with others… These are traits we look for in our staff and our partners. We work with producers that love what they do and take pride in the food they create. Their care is transferred through each product, into every red bag and in each bite you enjoy.
Finding producers who value their role in the ecosystem is a necessity. We believe you can build community with food and that does not begin at the table. We choose partners who are good stewards to their land and look for opportunities to collaborate with their neighbors and connect with their employees.
From the Farmer is a mission-driven company founded on transparency and integrity. We expect the same of each of our partners. Our farmers and artisans are up front about their growing processes and food making methods, and we stand behind their quality and practice.

We buy direct as much as possible. This enhances transparency, ease of communication and highest quality foods and service. Prioritizing local ensures freshness often getting food from harvest to plate in 48hrs. Because our number one priority is providing high quality food that our customers want, we supplement our local selection with carefully-chosen regional and sometimes national items. In all cases, we tell you where all of our food is from, so you’ll know exactly what you’re eating and who grew or made it.
We look for farms and farmers who emphasize the health, safety and wellbeing of their employees, their animals as well as their land and crops. Our standards are high and so are theirs. We choose farms that use sustainable growing practices and are diligent about food safety. Our dairy and eggs come from animals who live on pasture and are treated humanely. They eat a GMO-free diet and are never-ever treated with antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones.
- We believe that it’s possible to deliver better tasting, higher quality meats in a way that’s sustainable and healthy for our customers and the land. All of our beef and lamb items are grass-fed/grass-finished and pasture raised. All other animals are raised on pasture and have their forage supplemented with GMO-free feed. Since all good meat begins with the land where the animals roam, we choose farmers that use no spray growing practices. Our sourcing has developed partner relationships with farmers who understand the importance of the health, safety and wellbeing of their animals, their employees as well as their land. All of the animals we source are humanely raised and are never-ever treated with antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones.
- Our provisions partners infuse their products with a level of attention and passion that you can taste in each bite. We travel the country’s best open air markets to discover the latest in pantry finds. Our partners prioritize sustainable sourcing and take advantage whenever possible of local or seasonal ingredients. We make sure our products do not contain dyes, high fructose corn syrup, unnatural preservatives, and ingredients you can’t pronounce.
